Back in 2012, Bird & Blend started out in a bedroom belonging to the parents of co-founder Krisi Smith. The couple spotted a gap in the market for innovative tea blends and borrowed a £25,000 loan from the government to open their first shop in Brighton. Eight years on, the pair now own eight stores across the UK as well as a flourishing online business. Despite having to temporarily close all stores during lockdown, the company is stronger than ever and about to embark on an aggressive business expansion plan.
