Whilst working as a business adviser, she supported all aspects of business planning and as an Innovation adviser for various companies, she has helped businesses with their innovation grant applications. Julie has also run her own business consultancy, supporting numerous small to medium companies to engage with large corporates.

Lorraine Smith, international and global programmes manager

Lorraine manages the international team and global programmes for Innovate UK Business Growth in the East of England. She and her team take care of the delivery of Global Business Innovation Programmes and Global Incubator Programmes, which are funded and designed by Innovate UK. The programmes cover many key industry sectors, including everything from AI to net zero, across markets from Australia to New Zealand. The programmes support the growth of UK businesses through R&D, collaboration and partnership opportunities.
