Launching today: New e-learning modules to boost your digital skills

Today, we’re hugely excited to be launching new modules as part of the business.connected e-learning programme in partnership with Vodafone – part of an extensive online training programme that will help 800,000 small businesses boost their digital skills. 

The free training programme will empower businesses to kickstart digital change, adopt new technology, and stay safe online. 

The programme is supported by additional partners Samsung Electronics UK, Sage (UK) and Zym. 
 
Small businesses can sign up to take part in the e-learning today, as well as being able to access the workshops, webinars and support available as part of the programme. 

What does the new e-learning training cover? 

The e-learning will see the core topics of the programme expand to: Collaboration, e-commerce, cyber security, connectivity, customer relationship management, marketing, digital finances and productivity. The e-learning is delivered in bitesize chunks and is catered to those just starting their online journey as well as those looking to build on existing experience: 

1. Collaboration: How you can use communication and planning tools to provide the foundations for the future of your business, including how you can use Microsoft 365 products.

2. E-commerce: The course covers how you can use digital support platforms to help develop your website and e-commerce store. 

3. Managing digital security: Raising awareness of the risks that exist online, and how to ensure you and your customers stay safe.  

4. Optimising connectivity: Helping small business owners to choose the right connectivity options to suit flexible working or changes in working environment. 

5. Customer relationship management (CRM): How to use CRM software to help with finding new customers and engaging your audience. Delivered by Zym, these videos will help better your sales and marketing. 

6. Digital marketing: Providing the knowledge and skills to put your business in front of new audiences online.  

7. Finance: Discover how to make your business finances digital. Delivered by Sage, these videos will help to increase confidence with payroll and managing your people. 

8. Productivity: How to manage your time effectively and the power of prioritising.
