Facebook and Enterprise Nation have joined forces to support women business owners across the UK with the #SheMeansBusiness campaign.
In 2017 alone, the partnership delivered training to over 10,000 women across the UK with a dedicated programme of nationwide events and online classes which offered the potential to unlock £45m for the UK economy. In 2018, we have enrolled more accredited trainers delivering female founder meet-ups and training events to connect and support female founders from all across the UK.

Alison Battisby founded Avocado Social, having worked in the social media marketing industry since 2008. Alison has been involved in some groundbreaking social media projects for brands including Nokia, Tesco and Pringles as well as a range of UK start-ups and growing enterprises.

Joy Foster is a 3x social entrepreneur who currently runs TechPixies, an online programme which helps women who have taken career breaks upskill with technology in order to go back to work or start their own businesses. Throughout her career, she has built over 100 websites, run social media and digital marketing for major accounts either building their following up from scratch or growing their existing following. Joy's experience includes launching several startups, building online communities, running a £100k Kickstarter and managing social media accounts which have grown to over 50k followers.
Joy is also an accomplished athlete and was a member of the United States archery team from 204-2007. She is currently training for an Ironman (in her spare time). She is married to Olympic Gold Medallist Tim Foster (Rowing) and together, they live in Oxford with their 2 children. Joy has managed to build her three businesses around her family life, which she highly values, and so can help and encourage women who would like to do that as well.
Katherine George is the founder of the multi-award winning, international social media agency Oh So Social, which provides comprehensive social media management, training and mentoring services. After experiencing ill health, at just 21 years old she was told she may never work again. Proving the doctors wrong, Katherine battled through to create the success she’s had to date.
