Emma is founder of Enterprise Nation. Emma joined international accounting firm Arthur Andersen, before starting her own business in 2000, which was successfully sold two years later.
Emma then launched Enterprise Nation and has since written a number of bestselling business books, including Spare Room Start-Up, Working 5 to 9, Go Global and the StartUp Kit.
Emma was a co-founder of StartUp Britain in 2011 was appointed one of the prime minister's Trade Ambassadors in 2015 and Small Business Representative for the Crown in June 2016. Find out more about Emma.
A long-time supporter of Enterprise Nation, Richard was appointed a Non Executive Director in 2017 to help Enterprise Nation become the UK’s leading provider of business support. Richard led a significant outsourcing business at RSM Tenon before leaving to start his own growth advisory firm which works with scaling companies, advising founders on how to manage and maintain revenue and profit growth.
Gary is a co-founder and the Managing Director of Xero UK, responsible for business operations across Europe, Middle East and Africa. Under Gary's leadership, Xero UK has scaled from a three-person startup with annual revenues of £50k to more than £40M in the year to 31 March 2018.
A visionary on SaaS and technology, Gary is renowned for his trend spotting. He’s loved tech since he started coding on a BBC micro computer in his parents’ attic in the 80s. Gary is also passionate about small business, being an active investor in startups with a passion for building better businesses.
A 25-year veteran of the UK’s software industry, Gary joined Xero shortly after its UK launch in 2009. A native of Glasgow, Scotland, he has previously held senior positions at Microsoft, Systems Union and Pegasus Software. He's an engaging speaker, writer and thought-leader on startups, digital transformation and leadership inside hyper-growth organisations. Gary has also served as a mentor to early-stage fintech startups at TechStars London.
Gerard is Managing Partner of Growth Partner, the investment vehicle that invested in Enterprise Nation in December 2017.
Gerard has spent decades backing management teams to achieve their growth ambitions. He started his financial career at KPMG, then moved in to stockbroking where he advised plc businesses on mergers, acquisitions and fundraising. He went on to acquire, develop and sell a document management company before focusing his attentions on restructuring and effecting operational change within marketing and communications agencies. At AIM listed investment company Springboard plc, Gerard completed a dozen buy-ins and developed a portfolio of more than 20 early stage investments before selling the company in 2006. He has served in non-executive and consulting capacities, providing objective and independent strategic guidance to boards.
With a background in organisational development and operational management and having grown start-up businesses to a national scale, it is Helen's role to support the brilliant Enterprise Nation team to realise their full potential and keep the focus on delivering the best possible service for members.
Helen is also dedicated to encouraging young people to start their own business and believes that anything is possible!
Billy has been in the IT and tech industry for over 20 years. With a background in IT and development, he went on to run a number of his own successful businesses through to exit. Now at Enterprise Nation, Billy is in charge of helping shape the digital transformation of the business, to ensure that we can provide the right balance of technology and innovation to our growing member community and internal teams.
Working alongside the other directors in the business, Billy spends most of his time thinking about the “the best way we can implement our ideas”!

Lauren is an experienced event manager from up North who is passionate about supporting the great work of small businesses. Lauren champions small business owners across the UK by leading two major campaigns: 'She Means Business' for female entrepreneurs supported by Facebook and 'Next Generation' for young entrepreneurs powered by Enterprise Trust.
In her spare time Lauren loves exploring London and runs her own book-club London Gals Read, organising regular meet-ups in the city.
Before joining Enterprise Nation, Justina worked in a public sector policy role. She is passionate about supporting founders in running successful businesses effectively, and is now leading on a digital productivity training programme 'HeadsUp!' She is also enthusiastic about using insights from the Enterprise Nation community to influence policy making.
Justina is also a life coach, supporting young professionals in creating purpose-driven careers aligned with their lifestyle goals.

With over 14 years of experience working with large and small businesses, Neil ensures a visual brand consistency through Enterprise Nation’s website, communications, events, and everything in between.
Ben has a wide range of experience in marketing, sales, retail, and customer service. His interest in start-ups and small businesses comes from university where alongside studying law, he focused on several startup based projects and finished highly in an enterprise competition. After university, Ben spent two years living in Australia where he worked on several projects with small businesses.

Danielle has worked in the events industry over the last seven years and has experience in running events of all sizes. She is passionate about the positive effects that face-to-face events have on both businesses and individuals.

Nia is working with Enterprise Nation in her University placement year, she studies events management at Greenwich and is working with the team until August 2020.

Marco has over 10 years’ experience as a front-end developer and digital designer within advertising and e-learning sectors. He has a passion for everything digital and emerging technologies.
Luke studied computer science before joining Enterprise Nation as a technical apprentice. Luke supports the technical team with requests and front and back end edits, while building his knowledge of web development at the same time.
James has worked on marketing campaigns in a wide range of environments: brick&mortar retail, ecommerce and B2B software, with both multinational blue chip businesses and new start-ups.
When not crunching data and designing ads at Enterprise Nation, James runs an online home bar store, writes fiction and does first aid at events with St John Ambulance.
