Go Global – Take your business to the world!
Following the success of Go Global events held in November 2011 during Global Entrepreneurship Week, we’re delighted to announce that with support from DHL and Regus, the Go Global events are back and they’re more regular!
Each month will see a Go Global event take place at the O2 Workshop on 229 Tottenham Court Road. The Go Global events are tailored for you if:
- You’re considering exporting but don’t know where to start
- You have international sales and wanting this to grow
Events to help you Go Global
The events cost just £5 to attend, will be held from 6 to 7.30pm and the first four sessions are open for bookings! You will also receive a copy of Go Global by Emma Jones to help you take your business to the world.
- Wednesday 29th February: Mario De Bortoli-Jones of Lingo24.com shows how to localise your website and attract online visitors from across the globe
- Tuesday 27th March: Gabriela Castro-Fontoura is tour guide for the night, leading discussion on ‘Doing business in Latin America’
- Thursday 26th April: Representatives from eBay, Elance, Etsy and Facebook cover how to secure international sales via powerful platform sites
- Thursday 31st May: Dave Knight from DHL and Beverley Bergin from PayPal address the topic of ‘Getting goods delivered and getting paid’
- Thursday 26th July: Tony Wheeler, co-founder of Lonely Planet, tells the story of starting a business that became the world’s largest independent guidebook publisher. There’s no man more qualified to talk travel and trade tips!
Small businesses are going global faster than ever before with 67% of you saying you are doing so within the first two years of trading (October 2011 survey). Free or low cost technology tools and platforms have opened up vibrant new markets and with a niche product or service, the opportunity to Go Global is a clear one.
