To celebrate its Silver Jubilee in 2010 Country Living Magazine is marking the occasion with a year-long campaign called Your Countryside Needs You! to encourage people to put their pound into the rural economy. As part of the campaign, there’s also an Award for rural entrepreneurs.
Calling home business owners in the country
Country Living will be celebrating the most successful rural businesses by sponsoring The Hestia Award for women working in rural communities.
According to Award details:
“This award is given to the most inspirational and successful female entrepreneur who runs a business in a remote rural location and makes a contribution to the local community.”
This description covers many an Enterprise Nation member!
Entry deadline is 31st July and you can apply by clicking on the link below.
Another part of the 2010 campaign is Britain's Biggest Bring and Buy Sale to raise money for two rural charities - Farming & Countryside Education (FACE) and Common Ground. You can get involved by either hosting a sale, or going to one! The sale raising the most money wins a bench for their community and there are packs of chocolate for the first 60 people to sign up. Details on the link below.
