You are worthy

Enterprise Nation member, John Williams, writes in to say if you struggle to charge what you're really worth to your clients or customers, take a lesson from Pablo Picasso. Here's a story about the great artist that makes an important point about value and pricing.
A woman was strolling along a street in Paris when she spotted Picasso sketching at a sidewalk café.
The woman asked Picasso if he would sketch her, and charge her accordingly.
Picasso obliged.
In just minutes, she had an original Picasso sketch of herself.
"And what do I owe you?" she asked.
"Five thousand francs," he answered.
"But it only took you 3 minutes!" she said.
"No," Picasso said. "It took all my life."
What are you worth?
Our value to clients is based on all that we bring - the skills we have developed, the experiences we have had and everything we have invested in ourselves.
Part of the value I give to my business coaching clients for example is the many years and tens of thousands of pounds of investment I have made in training and developing myself - my coaching qualification, many marketing and wealth workshops, 5 years of humanistic psychotherapy training and more.
Consider this for yourself
Take out a piece of paper and add up the significant investments you have made in yourself. Include anything that you know you draw upon in your work. This is not just formal trainings. If your round the world trip taught you a heap of stuff about people, budgeting and project management, put it on the list.
Now, does your current income reflect this value?
If not, start to think how you can charge according to the value you provide, not just the time you put in.
If you know you're worth a lot more than you're currently making in your business, my Income Accelerator Programme will walk you through a blueprint for turning your value into income in 6 weeks.

Comment: I always really enjoy articles like these and just a few moments spent reading them and reflecting on the core message can help adjust my mindset in such a positive way. Thank you and love the picasso example!!
It is so important when you are the brand to really add up that toolkit of experience, integrity, qualification and achievements to arrive at a price that reflects this.
Thanks from the Blicksta!
