Do you get frustrated when your competitors win business awards that you know you could have won if you’d entered? If so, Aly Anscombe of Awards Intelligence urges you to start entering, in view of the benefits a victory can bring.

Aly’s intelligence

I thought I would share with you some compelling facts which prove that winning an award is one of the most powerful and cost effective marketing tools.

Just imagine being the most award winning company in your sector. It would take your reputation to new heights, create trust and deliver new business leads.

Here are some compelling financial facts about the benefits of winning business awards:

  • Award winning companies are shown to experience a 63% increase in operating income, and a 39% growth in sales when compared to non-winners.
  • Award winning companies show improvements in financial performance after just a year of winning their first award.
  • Three years after receiving an award, award winning companies outperform other companies by an average of 17% for sales.

These facts prove that being a winner can deliver tangible business benefits and the good news is, it can cost very little or nothing to enter an award.

(Note from Enterprise Nation – you can put this all into practice when we launch the Enterprise Nation Home Business Awards at the end of June. Details soon to follow!)

Comment: They also bring people to your website - Shedworking was picked as a Blog of Note by Blogger about 10 days ago and the spike in hits and comments (and subscribers to the RSS feed) has been very noticeable. I reckon it's brought thousands of new people to the site.
