Since it's Shrove Tuesday, we've been asking our Twitter followers, "What couldn't your home business give up for Lent?"

The question was raised during a #watercoolermoment - a trend we've started on Twitter to give homeworkers a break at 11am each day (read on to find out more).

When @HumbersHomemade asked for suggestions, Enterprise Nation stalwart, @sansharma offered #watercoolermoment a conundrum: "Why don't you give up trying to give up?"

Other responses covered the spectrum of business, lifestyle and technology:

• "The ability to compete globally," wrote @cyberdoyle.
• @zoesee wouldn't be able to give up the solitude of working from home: "Peace and quiet enables me to work in ways I never managed in an office."
• And @EmilyCagle and @sitereport couldn't live without their iPhones!
