If you have linguistic skills plus an internet connection and want to earn income from home, this website could be for you. It’s a translation service powered by home-based translators. To sign up you have to take a test and, if you pass, you start earning. It’s as simple as ichi, ni, san (that’s 1, 2 and 3 in Japanese!)
As the site simply puts it:
“If you're bilingual and you're online, you could qualify as a myGengo translator. It's free, simple and quick to take our tests.
If you're already a professional translator, myGengo is a great way to add some extra income at a competitive rate.
Your test will be reviewed by a native speaker within 72 hours. If you pass the test, you can then browse and work on jobs.”
Please let us know if you do sign up and start winning work. Registration is via the link below. – Emma Jones

Comment: Just to let everyone know - tests for more languages will be available soon; Spanish will be first. We're quite a new company so we don't have hundreds of translations available yet - but we're getting more every day.
To be emailed automatically when each new language test is available, all you need to do is sign up as a translator (it's free) and mark your languages in your profile.

Comment: Apologies for our recent site downtime - this was caused by unexpectedly large traffic from a Colombian TV spot.
The site is now up, however Spanish<>English tests are disabled currently due to the high demand.
If you sign up on the site, you'll be informed when they are available again.
Thanks!
