Another excellent find from Alex Johnson of Shedworking fame. This time he’s spotted Newspaperclub.co.uk – a site that can turn your content into a newspaper. How cool is that?!
Alpha Mode
The site proclaims to currently be in Alpha but you can sign up to receive notification of site progress or visit the company blog.
From the home page you can read all about it:
‘This is Newspaper Club; we're here to help people make their own newspapers. And by ‘newspapers’ we mean anything you can make with ink on newsprint.
We're planning on launching early next year when we'll offer a basic product of a 12–page, tabloid–size newspaper in black and white or colour in quantities from 5 to 5000.
If you're experienced with design software you'll be able to upload a PDF to us and we'll sort out printing and delivery. Or, if you need a bit more help, we'll have a tool where you can upload your own text and pictures and we'll help you lay it out on the page so it looks lovely. Then you can get it printed etc.
Or, if you want the full bespoke service, we'll make you a whole newspaper; including finding writers and artists, organising design and all the printing and everything else.’
Is newspaper dead? No way. Print your own material and distribute to your own community and customers. I just wish this was ready in time for the Enterprise Nation Conference so we could hand out copies of Enterprise Nation News! – Emma Jones
