Like you need an excuse to spend any more time on Facebook, here's a list of some of the social network's more productive apps and a way for you to reclaim time away from idle chatter and towards growing your home business.

Writing

We've talked about web app suite, Zoho, before. Now you can add it to your Facebook profile and share documents, spreadsheets and presentations with your network of friends.

You can also eek some productivity out of simple Facebook application, my Lists. Create to-do lists and share them with your network.

And edit documents with collaborative text editor, Documents, the Facebook universe's equivalent of Writeboard.

Files and storage

Share up to 1GB of files with your network - useful especially if you're a media-based homeworker - with Files.

Or try DivShare. It pretty much does the same thing.

Personal organisation

I'm a huge fan of online calendar, 30 Boxes, and it's Facebook app works just as it should.

Or, if you've got a Google Calendar account, try it's Facebook app.

Keep on top of your RSS feeds with Simply RSS or share your Google Reader and NewsGator feed items with Feedheads.
