A report from the Chartered Institute of Management looks at the world in the year 2018. The most likely scenario they offer is one that sees a big rise in the number of people starting and growing businesses from home.
The report ‘Management Futures: The World in 2018’ looks at a range of possible futures. The one they feel is most likely is referred to as ‘The World Continued’ and will look like this:
“Remote working will increase, and non-traditional employment arrangements such as self-employment, temporary work, free agents and e-lancing will become the norm.”
