Surf the Internet with mobile broadband

If WiFi hotspots are few and far between, you can now get on the Internet practically anywhere, with devices and deals from major mobile phone providers.
A simple USB dongle that looks a bit like a flash thumbdrive allows your laptop to connect to broadband speed-Internet from your mobile phone provider.
Mobile broadband is great if you're often on the move or use your laptop in a variety of locations, but it's still quite expensive. Look around for unlimited packages and those that provide the hardware for free.
