Setting up a network
01/01/2008 send to a friend
Set up a network in your house and you’ll be able to work whilst you roam.
You’ll need a wireless router to get started. Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) may have given you one for free or buy your own from a supplier like Netgear.
There are two types of wireless router – one for ADSL internet service providers like Sky and BT and another for cable Internet, like Virgin Media. It’s best to check with your ISP to find out which is the best for you.
The router allows you to connect up the computers in your house and share an internet connection. Once it’s set up, you’ll be able to work from the kitchen, living room, garden and just about anywhere else you like!
