Protecting the environment can keep costs down

There are moves you can make in your home office that will be friendly to the environment, and to your utility bills.
Make savings on power, paper, and heat costs by:
Dressing up – put on a jumper when it gets chilly, rather than heat the whole house. Turning down the heating by just 1 degree will shave nearly 10% off your annual energy bill.
Switching off - turn off your computer at the end of the day, and the power to your mobile phone charger. A computer left on 24/7 will cost around £25 a year, but if switched off at night and at weekends this can be reduced to around £7 a year and save an equivalent amount of energy to make over 21,000 cups of coffee. Wow!
Turning over – read on screen as a preference to printing. Or, if you do print, go double-sided and recycle your paper as a jotter for messages.
You’re already in credit by not clogging up the rush-hour roads each day - taking these small steps will reduce your carbon footprint even more.
