Using a ‘Website Liability Disclaimer’ is a way of explaining the limit of your liability to people who use or view your website. It’s a nice protection to have and Sue McGaughran of Lime One lawyers covers what you might like to include. 

I disclaim

Here are four points to remember:

1. Confirm that you don’t guarantee your site will always be available

2. Exclude responsibility for viruses and other problems that can infect a computer from viewing, using and downloading on the internet.

3. Explain that if the visitor uses a link to another website, you’re no longer responsible for that information or what else happens on or relating to that site.
 
4. Avoid making any guarantees as to the content or quality of the site, including whether it’s accurate, complete, adequate etc.

Here is an example:

Selling products - a website selling products may need to confirm that products are shown as accurately as possible, based on manufacturers’ information and that you are not advising on suitability. You may wish to add that products are represented to the best of your ability, but there may be some variations, for example different monitor setting may mean colours vary from the original.
