Oh, for a name…

For anyone who’s spent hours trying to think of a name for your company/new product or service, you’ll be delighted with this great little find from Enterprise Nation member, John Williams. It’s a website that plays the name game for you.
The site is called NameThis and was profiled on John’s new website called Scanner Central (I wonder if he went to NameThis for that nice new tag?)
As John explains:
“Those with a thing in need of a name begin by posting a request for help and paying USD 99. Members of the community then have 48 hours to suggest names and/or invest points in their favourites. At the end of the 48 hours, NameThis’s system “does some fancy math” and picks three winners.”
Those who helped come up with the name get paid for their efforts.
So, as John goes on to suggest:
“If you’re good at coming up with great names for stuff, why not go and earn a few quid/dollars by suggesting names?"

Survey
Enterprise Nation is undertaking the largest ever survey of home businesses and we'd love you to help!
It'll only take a few minutes. Your responses won't be shared but they will paint a picture of just what's happening in entrepreneurial homes across the UK. The results will be written up in our 2008 Home Business Report, which will be free and available on the site in October.
