New news widget

If you use iGoogle (which Alex Johnson does, using it as his RSS reader), then you'll be interested in the launch of a new iGoogle gadget from The Independent newspaper. Alex reveals all.
A new and techy toy
Essentially, you add the widget to your own page where you can see all the news (including business and sport) without actually nipping along to their main site (although if you want more information you simply click through to the full story).
"We're delighted with our new toy," said Jimmy Leach, editorial director for digital at The Independent. "We've worked closely with Google to put this together and it will be a fantastically useful source of news and opinion for Google users now and in the future."
Fiona Heron, iGoogle Product Manager added: "We see iGoogle as your own personal place on the internet to really customise your searching and your browsing experience into whatever you like. This a great tool to bring all of your news together and have one place where you can come to in the morning and see all of the headlines in the day." - Alex Johnson
