Let your customers do the selling
01/01/2008 send to a friend
The dream for all home business owners is to win new business through word of mouth referrals. One way to convert your customers to salespeople, is through testimonials.
Teasing out a testimonial
Rather than invade on your customers time and ask outright for a testimonial, it’s better to ask a few gentle questions that will give you the content you need, to construct a testimonial. Ask questions like:
- Were you happy with the product/service we delivered?
- Was there a particular aspect that you particularly appreciated?
- Can we look forward to working with you again?
- Would you recommend us to others?
Asking questions makes it easier for the customer to oblige your request for a testimonial, and you can phrase questions to emphasise aspects of the product/service you want to promote.
