Holiday from your home office with Google Earth
12/06/2008 send to a friend
Every summer, there's talk on Enterprise Nation about the best holiday destinations for home business owners - unusual hybrids of business and pleasure trips, places where we can keep an ear to the surf and eye on our home businesses. But what about when you want to get away from it all?
If you can't wait for your summer holiday and you don't fancy planning one around Wi-Fi availability, what about Disney World? You can get there for free - and without leaving your home office - with Google Earth's 3D virtual tour. It's a small world after all...
Download the latest version of Google Earth (4.3) and "zoom down Main Street, USA, fly around Cinderella Castle, explore Spaceship Earth and climb the Tree of Life."
Walt Disney World Resort in 3D is the most detailed 3D rendering undertaken on Google Earth to date. You're just one Mickey Mouse click away from the 'happiest place on earth'. Explore Google Earth and you might discover other destinations for your summer holiday this year. And if you can't bear to be away from your home office for a week or two, let Google Earth pinpoint Wi-Fi hotspots, Internet cafes and business centres.
In the meantime, can you tell us which famous artist worked out of this garage? Answers on postcards, or rather, in the comments below! – San Sharma

Survey
Enterprise Nation is undertaking the largest ever survey of home businesses and we'd love you to help!
It'll only take a few minutes. Your responses won't be shared but they will paint a picture of just what's happening in entrepreneurial homes across the UK. The results will be written up in our 2008 Home Business Report, which will be free and available on the site in October.

Comment: That would be Walt Disney and that would be his uncle's garage if I'm not mistaken. What's the prize?
