More than half of Brits feel so stressed at the end of their working day they turn to alcohol to relax, a study shows. Does working from home mean less stress? And what do you do to relax at the end of your day?

A survey of over 3,000 employees discovered one in ten feel stressed even before they start work and six percent say they feel stressed all of the time.

A third claimed to have called in sick because they were feeling stressed and 12 percent said they had quit a job altogether.

57 percent also said they had recently felt the need for a beer or a glass of wine when they got home to get over their day.

A spokesperson for Medicash, which commissioned the study, said: "Worryingly, a third of Britons admitted in the survey to having deliberately drunk too much in a bid to relax and escape work stress."

Is homeworking the cure?

We wondered what the survey would look like if it were taken by homeworking employees and sole-traders.
