You may remember reading the story of Erin Thomas who started a haulage business from her kitchen table. It just so happened that the day Erin was featured on the site, we got a call from a TV company asking for case studies. Erin came to mind and she’s on her way to becoming a star!

Big wheels in motion

We featured Erin on the site last month in a wonderful story, told in her own words, about how she started a home business that doesn’t count too many women in its trade.

That same day we had a call from The Money Programme who were looking for business Mums. We suggested Erin, made the introduction, and left the rest up to our home business Mum. She grasped the opportunity with both hands and this is what happened next.

“Hi,
 
Just a quick update - the filming crew arrived and spent the whole day with me. Saira from the Apprentice did the interview and she was soo nice. It’s to be aired in August.
 
I've also been in the local newspaper - a whole page - I couldn't dream of paying for advertising on that scale!!
 
I still can't believe its all come from an email!!!

Just a quick note - I've attached the article my local newspaper ran on me after the filming. I have received a lot of attention and people in the streets have stopped to ask me questions. Also I got a very interesting phone-call from a man in Switzerland which may lead to some regular contract work for the lorries.
