BT’s Business Essence of the Entrepreneur competition has just opened entries in its third year. We particularly like this Award as the prize is a perfect gift and accessory for the home business owner – a professional photo of yourself.

Outline

This Award celebrates the achievements of small businesses that have demonstrated exceptional dedication and found new directions to succeed in business with the help of technology.

A panel of judges, headed up by successful business tycoon Peter Jones, will select the UK’s 20 most impressive entrepreneurs. From the 20 winners, the judges will also be looking for the best female entrepreneur, best male entrepreneur, the young entrepreneur of the year and the most original business concept. In addition, the top business will be awarded the title of Outstanding Entrepreneur and the prize of a £20,000 business grant from BT.

Check out more details – plus the photos of previous winners – on the link below.
We were delighted to see that one of this year’s Judges is Enterprise Nation member, and recent winner in our own competition, Rob Wood of Music Concierge.

We hope you’re ready for Award season as we’ll be posting up details soon of the 2008 Home Business Awards!

Survey

Spare Room Start UpEnterprise Nation is undertaking the largest ever survey of home businesses and we'd love you to help!

It'll only take a few minutes. Your responses won't be shared but they will paint a picture of just what's happening in entrepreneurial homes across the UK. The results will be written up in our 2008 Home Business Report, which will be free and available on the site in October.
