We were contacted today by the business relations team of the tory party. They would like home business owners to complete their ‘Entrepreneurial Britain’ survey but don’t expect to find any mention of home businesses in it.

The Conservatives have a survey that they are asking business owners to complete. I’ve done it (it takes around 10 minutes) and then wrote to our contact in the business relations team to ask why there was no mention of home business, when 60% of businesses are started from home. 

The only other thing I noticed is that when they ask how you sourced start-up funding, they didn’t include an option of “I made a sale.” I have started both my businesses on the back of making a sale (rather than raising external funds) and I’m sure it must be the same for many others.
