We will be featuring him in full next week but for now we thought you would enjoy this description of Graham Milton’s workspace. What a fine and innovative home business owner he is.

An email to make you smile

When this email arrived at Enterprise Nation HQ, we wrote straight back to ask if Graham would mind us writing it up word for word to share with others who have been in a similar setting…

“I have set up Fluxedo Shirts from scratch about a year ago from my bedroom and still operate from my bedroom. I have just sold enough shirts to stretch my legs out under my desk but I still need to fold my bed away every morning. I have boxes of shirts above the stairs and in the shed and I have had to take clothes how to my parents to make room in my make shift wardrobe!!

The other day I turned my room into a make shift photo studio by ironing a bed sheet to the wall. My room also has to accommodate my mountain bike and kayaking gear!! All quite classic bedroom business stuff. But no matter how hectic it gets in my room every shirt that goes out is packaged well, delivered on time and good quality, which is important. I have also done it on a shoe string budget by doing the entire website myself from scratch and online sales are picking up week on week now! I wear the shirts to networking events which is a good way to get noticed!"

Good on you, Graham. We’ll be hearing more about his business soon.

Comment: It's good to see how Graham is really 'bootstrapping' his business. I have built several businesses without having to borrow money and grown them from a very small start.

I think Graham is on to a winner and can develop a whole range of shirt products and expand as he earns by reinvesting his earnings back into the business.
